Framed Chinese late Qing to Republic period ink and color on paper fan painting of two geese among reeds painted by an unidentified artist in the manner of Bian Shoumin (1684-1752). The tag on the back of the frame shows it was framed by Moyer’s in Colorado Springs before area codes were implemented in the 1940s. Frame: 14” x 24 1/2”; Painting: 9” x 19 3/4.” The painting shows signs of age with typical wear, losses, and old repairs. There is some pigment bleeding in the area of the geese's legs. The silk mounting is very clean. The old wood and gilt frame is sturdy but has dings and wear.
