Oversized Japanese limited edition sosaku hanga "kappa-ban" (stencil print) on crumpled hand-made momigami paper titled "The Good Samaritan" by Christian artist Sadao Watanabe (1913-1996) dated 1959. The black ink signature and date are barely visible at the lower right. This very early print by Sadao Watanabe is assumed to be a limited edition impression but I am unable to locate the edition number. Paper size: 26" x 23". The background color has faded and a fade line is evident around the edges. Otherwise, in very good overall condition. From a World War II veteran collection in Sun City, Arizona.
