item#: 1506051
price: $275.00
Japanese Edo period Arita Imari porcelain bowl decorated in underglaze blue and overglaze polychrome enamels and gilt highlights with four alternating floral panels surrounding a green bordered circular sometsuke (blue and white) center. A sometsuke border with four small floral panels extends around the inner rim. The exterior is decorated with rust red leafy flowers and scrolling vines accented with tiny bits of turquoise enamel. The base holds a diamond form "fuki choshun" (good fortune and longevity) mark within a "bull's eye" base, likely dating the piece circa 1780. 8 1/4” diameter x 2 7/8” high. Very good overall condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. Typical minor wear to the gilt and overglaze enamels. From a Tucson, Arizona collection. Stand not included.
