Large Japanese Meiji period Satsuma double gourd form two-handled vase with an arts and crafts influence in the design. Kinkozan kiln mark to the base. Circa 1900. 14 3/4" high. Heavily potted and with thick pigments. The base and mouth show the characteristic cream colored crackle glaze ground of Satsuma earthenware. Very good overall condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs.
