Pair of Korean late Joseon Dynasty square form wood wedding chests on fixed stands with metal loop handles on three sides. The lids open to reveal a nice sized storage space. A white brass rectangular plate is on the front and and holds a fish lock. Brass and white brass (nickel) hardware accents decorate the edges. Late 19th century. Each measures about 17 1/4" high x 18 1/4" wide x 17 1/2" deep. Very good overall condition with typical wear from use. One of the chests has a few cracks in the top and a small decorative hardware piece missing on the bottom (see images). From a Sun City, Arizona estate.
