Chinese Republic period rectangular form three-section traveling scholar's brass ink box incised on the top lid with calligraphy surrounded by a floral band. The base is copper. 3 1/4” long x 2 1/16" wide x 2 7/16" high. Early 20th century. Very good overall condition. The sections fit snugly. This ink box is from the private collection of former American expatriates to Hong Kong in the 1970s and 1980s.
