Chinese Qing dynasty Qianlong period blue and white meiping form vase decorated with a continuous pattern of lotus flowers and scrolling vines at the center. A ruyi band extends around the top of the shoulder. Two floral sprays are at the upright mouth. The recessed base holds a four-character apocryphal Ming dynasty Chenghua mark within two concentric blue circles. 18th century. 9 5/8” high. Good overall condition with typical production imperfections. There are faint old brown hairlines to the mouth and one tiny chip or production flaw to the rim. This vase is from the collection of a former expatriate to China from 1983-1987.
