Large Chinese late Qing dynasty export porcelain punch bowl decorated around the circumference in famille rose enamels with birds, flowers, and butterflies. A dense polychrome enamel border extends around the interior and exterior of the top. A few blue bats are scattered on the exterior border and gilt highlights the rim. 14 1/4" diameter x 6 1/2" high. Late 19th century. Very good overall condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. There are typical production irregularities and there is some wear to the enamels and gilt from use, particularly on the decorative circular panel at the interior bottom.
