Japanese Edo period woodblock print triptych depicting a nightscape with three bijin walking outdoors and traditional buildings in the background titled “Moon at Hongo in the Eastern Capital” by Utagawa Hiroshige (1797-1858) published by Joshuya Kinzo (Shofukudo) between 1849-1852. The print is well-framed with a cream-colored silk-wrapped mat and black filet. Visible triptych size: 13 1/4” x 27 1/2” (framed size: 22 3/4" x 36 1/4"). Very nice impression quality with wood grain visible in the sky. Visibly in very good overall condition. Some fading, minor soiling, and wear is evident. There is a paper loss at the bottom left corner of the left panel and a smaller one at the top corner of the left panel. From the estate of a Tucson, Arizona physician.
