Japanese Shin Hanga Woodblock Print Toshi Yoshida Friendly Garden Set

Japanese shin hanga woodblock print triptych titled “Pine,” Plum,” and “Bamboo” from the “Friendly Garden Series” commissioned by the Franklin Mint and published by the Yoshida Family Studio in 1980. Each of the three prints is pencil-signed in kanji at the lower right margin and black ink signed and titled at the lower left image. The artist’s red seal is below the black ink signature. The three prints have been reframed with archival materials and UV Plexiglas in the original teakwood frames with rounded corners. The paper sizes range from 21 3/8” - 21 1/2" x 11 1/2" - 11 3/4.” The image size is 19 1/2" x 9 3/4” and the frames measure 30 3/4" x 15 3/4.” Each framed print weighs about 3 lbs. The prints are in very good, clean overall condition with full margins. Each print has tape stains across the top back. The print titled “Plum” is faintly sunstruck and the print titled “Bamboo” is slightly more sunstruck. There is a tiny flaw 1/8" long in the UV Plexiglas on the print titled "Pine."
