Set of Four Chinese Qianlong Mark Blue and Copper-Red Dragon Cups
item#: 1400385
price: SOLD
Set of four Chinese Qing dynasty porcelain wine cups each decorated in underglaze blue and overglaze iron-red enamel with two four-clawed dragons chasing a flaming pearl. An underglaze blue geometric border is at the rim and blue waves surround the foot. The interior well holds five blue bats surrounding a shou (longevity) symbol. A six-character underglaze blue zhuanshu square form Qianlong mark is on the base. Possibly mark and period. There are faint lightly incised “CHINA” marks to the bases. Measure about 3 1/4” diameter x slightly under 2 1/2” high. Very good overall condition with only typical minor production imperfections.
