Chinese Republic period famille rose porcelain figure of a happy smiling barefoot seated boy holding a leafy flower bud dressed in a brocade gown densely decorated with flowers. There is an impressed oval-form mark to the base. The figure measures about 9 7/8" high. Republic period (early 20th century). Very good overall condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. There is minor wear and pigment loss. There are a few tiny spots in the glaze of the boy's bare white skin from the original production. This figure is from a Sun Lakes, Arizona collection.
