Large Chinese early Republic period cylindrical form monochrome sleeve vase with a compressed neck and wide rolled mouth covered overall in a creamy-white colored glaze with superabundant ge-type crackles. The interior and base are brown glazed and the flat foot rim is unglazed. A significant amount of kiln grit is adhering to the base. Measures 14" high by about 5” diameter and weighs slightly over 4 lbs. Circa 1920. This vase is in very good overall condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. From the private collection of a Tucson, AZ family who were residents in China in the 1940s.
