Chinese Yongzheng Famille Rose Porcelain Punch Bowl
item#: 1105489
price: SOLD
Chinese Qing dynasty Yongzheng period (1723-1735) export porcelain hemispherical form punch bowl decorated with famille rose overglaze enamels and gilt highlights set against a white porcelain ground. A floral spray is in the center and a band of flowers, bamboo, and geometric forms decorates the interior rim. The exterior holds two opposing cartouches featuring a lady and her attendant picking flowers in a garden setting and two opposing leaf form floral reserves surrounded by scattered flower heads. The high glazed foot slants slightly inward. The unmarked base is glazed but the tip of the foot rim is unglazed. 10 ¼” diameter x 4 3/8” high. Very good overall condition with minor scratches, wear, tiny losses to the enamels in the interior, and typical wear to the gilt at the rim. This bowl is from a Tucson, Arizona estate.
